Chris Stashko (Apalachin, NY/Apalachin) is off to a great start this season as he has a goal and three assists in three games … He now has three goals and eight assists over the course of 50 career games … He recorded a career-high four assists as a freshman.Â
LOOKING TO CONTINUE THE HOT START: Â Utica College senior forward
Shane Ruffing (Rochester, NY/Westborough) has netted six goals in three games … Ruffing has already been named ECAC Upstate Player of the Week, the Empire 8 Conference Player of the Week and the College's Male Athlete of the Week … Ruffing is off to one of the hottest starts in program-history and is currently tied for his career-best of six goals in a single season … Ruffing's 38 career points (17 goals, four assists) ranks him fifth all-time at UC and his 17 career goals moved him up to third all-time.

David Abdou (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro), who was named the Empire 8 Conference Defensive Player of the Week last week, has allowed two goals in three games while tallying 12 saves in the process.
FRESHMAN FIREPOWER:Â FreshmanÂ
Bita Gazashvili (Tiblisi, Georgia/) is off to a quick start and he currently ranks second on the team with one goal and two assists in his first two collegiate games … His goal against Purchase during opening weekend proved to be the game-winner.Â
LAST TIME AGAINST WELLS: (10/15/13) –
Kevin McAllister (Boxford, MA/Masconomet Regional) netted two goals in a 3-0 victory over the Express at Charles A. Gaetano Stadium … The victory gave the Pioneers their fourth win in six games … Utica outshot the Express 22-3 and senior goalie

SCOUTING THE EXPRESS: Wells College is 1-2-1 this season … The Express are looking to snap a two-game losing streak after losing to Medaille 2-1 on Sept. 2 and getting shut out by Alfred State 2-0 on Saturday … Sophomore goalkeeper Michael Sciotti has 18 saves on the season, while giving up 1.18 goals per game … Sophomore forward Hunter Sowersby has been the most productive offensive player for the Express so far, as he leads the team with five points (two goals, one assist).
