Utica, NY (1/20/15)- The Utica College women's hockey team looks to get back on track Tuesday as it travels to Oswego State for ECAC West action. Game time is scheduled for 3 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT: UC fell to Stevenson University 2-1 in non-conference action on Saturday, despite outshooting the visitors 36-13 on the day… Junior
Morgan Reed (Fort Myers, FL/Cushing Academy) netted her team-leading tenth goal of the season off an assist from senior

RECENT STRUGGLES: The Pioneers have lost the last three games by scores of 2-1, including to No. 3 Norwich and an overtime loss to No. 4 Middlebury on Tuesday… Four of Utica's losses have come to teams ranked in the top-four in the nation.
RETURNING TO ECAC WEST PLAY: Tuesday's game marks the first conference contest in over a month… UC's last ECAC West game was Dec. 7 when the Pioneers tied SUNY Cortland 2-2… Utica is currently sixth in the league standings with a 3-2-1 record in the conference… 12 of the remaining 13 games are in the ECAC West.
REED CONTINUES STRONG PLAY: Junior
Morgan Reed (Fort Myers, FL/Cushing Academy) leads the team in all major statistical categories, including goals (10) assists (seven) and points (17)… She ranks ninth in the country with .82 goals per game.
STEELE-NORTON KEEPING PACE: Senior
Louise Steele-Norton (Avondale, PA/Millbrook School) is second on the squad with six goals and 10 points… She has tallied at least one point in 7-of-10 games this season.
SCOUTING OSWEGO: The Lakers are 11-2 overall and are in the midst of a 9-game winnings streak… Oswego sits in third place in the conference standings with a 7-1 record in ECAC West play… Freshmen Olivia Ellis and Andrea Noss lead the team with ten points each.
AGAINST THE LAKERS: Utica is 12-5 all-time against Oswego… Last year, the Lakers won both meetings by identical 2-1 scores…
Kelsey Dowdall (Smiths Falls, ONT/Nepean) and Nicole Keiffer scored each in game for the Pioneers, while

LOOKING AHEAD: Next up, Utica faces SUNY Potsdam in a home-and-home series this weekend… The teams will faceoff at the Aud Friday night at 7 p.m. before traveling to Potsdam on Saturday for a 4 p.m. contest.
