, 2015) - The Utica College men's basketball team looks to snap a three-game skid as it hits the road for back-to-back Empire 8 battles this weekend … The Pioneers travel to Elmira Friday evening for an 8 p.m. tip off before heading to Alfred on Saturday for a 4 p.m. set start.

Aaron Nevins (Buffalo, NY/Canisius) (Buffalo, NY/Canisius) is working his way up the record books as he recently cracked the College's top ten All-Time scoring list … Nevins is currently tenth all-time in scoring with 1,017 and needs 12 points to solely possess ninth … He also dished his way into third place on the All-Time assist list with 341 and needs 52 to move into second place ... Nevins recently became the 14
th player in program-history to join the 1,000 point club …
Senior Conor Maisch recently moved into fifth place solely in career three pointers made with 126 and now needs six more to move into fifth place, solely.
MAISCH TOPS 25 IN LEAGUE STANDINGS: Conor Maisch (Kingston, NY/John A. Coleman) currently ranks in the top 25 in almost every category in the Empire 8 Conference … He leads the league in 3-pointers per game (3.5) and 3-point percentage (.500%) and he is second in scoring, averaging 18.8 points per game … He is also second in free throw percentage (.889%), fifth in field goal percentage (.594%) and fifth in minutes (32.9 m/g) … Maisch also ranks 20
th in assists (1.8 a/g) and 23
rd in rebounding (3.8 r/g).
NEVINS SECOND IN DISHING THE ROCK: Aaron Nevins (Buffalo, NY/Canisius) presently holds second place in assists and assist/turnover ratio behind St. John Fisher's Chaz Lott ... Nevins averages 4.5 dishes per contest while managing a 1.7 assist to turnover margin … The fourth year floor general also leads the league in minutes per game with 32.9 … He ranks 13th in steals (1.2 s/g) and is fifth in free throw shooting (.795%).
JEFFERS DEFENDS WITH THE BEST: Senior
Chris Jeffers (Albany, NY/Bishop Maginn) is among the best defensive players in the league … Jeffers averages 1.4 steals per game, good enough for sixth place, while grabbing 7.5 rebounds per game, ranking him seventh … He also ranks eighth in free throw shooting (.721%) and minutes (29.8) as well as 10
th in assists (2.4 a/g) .
SOARING EAGLE REPORT: Elmira holds a 3-7 overall record and is currently in a three-way tie for fifth in the league with a 1-2 mark … The Soaring Eagles have dropped five of their last six contests by an average of 19.3 points per game … EC's only win in the conference came on the road at Ithaca by a score of 75-60 … Elmira is 0-1 at home so far this season after recently losing to Fisher this past weekend.

CONFERENCE STANDINGS: St. John Fisher (10-2) sits atop the Empire 8 standings with a 3-0 record just in front of Hartwick (7-4) who has a 2-0 record in second place … Alfred (8-3) and Stevens (5-6) currently share third place with a 2-1 mark in the league … There is a three way tie for fifth including Elmira (3-7), Houghton (5-6) and Ithaca (3-8) who all occupy a 1-2 ledger in the conference … Nazareth (4-6) and Utica (4-8) round out the league standings both with a zero in the win column.
