UTICA, NY – Senior kicker Thomas Woodburn (West Islip, NY/West Islip) was named to the D3football.com National Team of the Week on Tuesday morning after his performance Last Saturday. Woodburn kicked five field goals including the game winner and one extra point for a total of 16 points in a 22-19 overtime victory over Brockport.
 
D3football.com is in its 17th season of selecting a National Team of the Week. The website staff selects players at each position from the top performances from across the country at the Division III level.
 
Woodburn is now the career points leader for Utica College with 206 points. He also holds the school-record for most points in a game by a kicker (16).  Woodburn is ranked first in the conference and first in the nation in field goals per game (2.7). He is second in the conference and 13^th in the nation in field goal percentage (.917).
 
Utica College (4-2, 3-1 Empire 8) returns to action on the road Saturday when the Pioneers travel to St. John Fisher for a 1 p.m. kickoff. Time Warner Cable with be broadcasting the game across New York State on the Time Warner Cable Sports Channel.
