ROCHESTER, NY - The Empire 8 Conference has announced its Players of the Week, for the week of October 26th with a Pioneer earning conference recognition for their standout performance.

Jordyn Davis (Hempstead, NY/Uniondale)- Co-Defensive Player of the Week (Football)

Interior defensive juggernaut Jordyn Davis (Hempstead, NY/Uniondale) was stellar in the trenches for the Pioneers during their 35-0 win against Alfred University, leading a defensive unit that allowed just six rushing yards to Tommy Nyquist and a strong Saxon running game. Davis got involved with four tackles, three of which were solo, along with two sacks and an additional quarterback hurry, providing a powerful presence at the line that stopped all Saxon momentum during the shutout.

Davis and the Pioneers hit the road this week to take on the St. John Fisher Cardinals on Saturday, October 31. Kickoff from Growney Stadium in Rochester, NY is set for 2pm.
