UTICA, NY – The Utica College women's tennis team hits the road for its final match of the year Sunday ... The competition is set for 1 p.m. in Troy, NY.
 
LAST TIME OUT: Utica played its final two Empire 8 Conference matches this past weekend against Alfred University and Nazareth College … The team lost 8-1 against Alfred on Saturday and 9-0 against Nazareth on Sunday … Sophomore Lu Lu Zhang (Wenzhou, China /Newcomers) led the way for the Pioneers as she totaled 27 game victories.
 
DOING WELL: Lu Lu Zhang (Wenzhou, China /Newcomers) and Anastasia Fitzpatrick (Parksville, NY/Liberty) recorded UC's lone point of the weekend in doubles play on Saturday against the Saxons … Zhang has won four singles matches and has teamed up with Gabriella Morreale (Utica, NY/T.R Proctor) and Fitzpatrick for wins in doubles competition ... Zhang has had a hand in six of Utica's seven points on the season.
 
SCOUTING SAGE: The Gators are 2-10 overall with a 1-5 Skyline Conference record … Sage takes on Purchase College on Saturday before taking on Utica … The Gators are led by Katie Schultz who has won four singles and one doubles match.
 
SEASON CONCLUSION: The Pioneers wrap up their fall campaign on Sunday versus Sage still in the hunt for its first win of the season … UC currently holds a 0-10 overall record and will return to the courts in the Fall of 2017.
