Utica, NY – The Utica College women's soccer team lost to visiting Nazareth College 2-0 in Empire 8 Conference action on Friday night at Charles A. Gaetano Stadium. The Pioneers held the high-powered Naz offense scoreless in the first half, but the visitors struck twice just 2:06 apart in the second half to secure the victory.
The Pioneers (2-7-2, 0-3-0 Empire 8) return to action at home on Tuesday looking to snap a five game slide when they take on Clarkson University at 7 p.m.
Rachel Dise broke the scoreless game open in the 59
th minute when she netted her second goal of the season to give the Golden Flyers a 1-0 advantage. Briana Vibbard, who played a part in both of the Naz goals, registered her fourth tally of the season at 61:43 to give the visitors a commanding 2-0 advantage.
