UTICA, NY – The Utica College women's soccer team is set to host Bard College in a non-conference matchup on Wednesday. Game time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
 
Last Time Out: UC dropped an Empire 8 Conference matchup to visiting Houghton College 3-0 on Saturday… The Highlanders scored in the first three minutes and had two goals in the first half… In the second half Houghton added an insurance goal in the 52nd minute.
 
SDA Youth Night: The Pioneers would like to welcome the U-12 Syracuse Development Academy, a local premier club, to Wednesday's game… SDA will also scrimmage on the field during halftime.
 
Youth Movement: Freshmen and sophomores have accounted for 28 of the 43 total points scored this year… Freshman Jenna Mazza (Frankfort, NY/Sauquoit Valley) leads the team with 11 points (five goals, one assist)… Sophomore Keri Berkowitz (Racine, WI/Racine Saint Catherine's) and freshman Abby Reilly (Brookfield, NY/Brookfield) each have six points (three goals), while freshman Gabrielle Esposito (Rotterdam, NY/Mohonasen) has one goal and one assist… Sophomores Caitlin Hopkins (Climax, NY/Greenville) and Elanna Green (Pittsford, NY/Pittsford Sutherland) have also contributed one assist each.
 
Veteran Presence: Junior Ciara McIlvenney (Pleasant Valley, NY/Arlington) is second on the team with seven points on three goals and one assist… Senior Maddisen Melley (Wappingers Falls, NY/Roy C. Ketcham) has three points off of one goal and one assist… Sara Kubera (Utica, NY/Notre Dame) and Cassandra McNitt (Ballston Lake, NY/Shenendehowa) each have two points off of one goal.
 
Goalie By Committee: Junior Jamie Enders (Cazenovia, NY/Cazenovia) has appeared in 12 games while starting in 11 for UC… Enders has racked up 62 saves and a .775 save percentage… She is fourth in the conference in saves per game (5.17), and seventh in save percentage… Sophomore Kimberly Beattie (Levitton, NY/Division Ave) has appeared in seven games while starting in four… She has 43 saves and a save percentage of .768 on the year.
 
Scouting Bard: The Raptors are 5-8-1 overall with a 1-6 Liberty League record… Bard has lost the last five games it has played… The Raptors are led by Abbey Labrecque (12 points off of five goals and two assists), Isabel Keddy-Hector (four goals, one assist), and Kelsey O'Brien (31 saves and a .816 save percentage).
 
Recent Years Against The Raptors: UC is 1-3 against Bard in the Last five years… The Raptors have won the last three match ups, including a 2-1 decision in 2014… Utica's lone win came by way of a 3-2 overtime victory in 2011.
 
Looking Ahead: Utica will wrap up its home schedule on Saturday as it hosts Empire 8 Conference foe, Stevens Institute of Technology…  The game, which will serve as UC's "Senior Day," is scheduled for 12 p.m.
