UTICA, NY - The Utica College women's tennis team lost, 8-1, Saturday to Empire 8 rival St. John Fisher at the Utica College Tennis Courts. The Pioneers were guided by sophomore Lu Lu Zhang (Wenzhou, China /Newcomers) won her third singles match of the season by scores of 6-3 and 6-4.

Utica drops to 0-8 overall on the season including a 0-4 mark in Empire 8 play. The Pioneers are right back in action Sunday as they host Stevens at the UC Courts.  The match is set for 1 p.m.

The Cardinals improve to 1-9 overall and 1-7 in league play.  Fisher returns to the courts Friday when it heads to Geneva, NY to William Smith (4 p.m.)
