UTICA, NY – The Utica College women's basketball team heads across town to take on local rival SUNY Polytechnic on Saturday. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.
 
Last Time Out: The Pioneers had a come from behind victory on Thursday night as they defeated RPI 91-84 … After heading into the half trailing 47-40 Utica outscored its opponent 21-20 in the third quarter and 30-17 in the fourth quarter … Ashelyne Babb (Lynn, MA/Winthrop) led the way with 19 points.
 
Putting Up Points: UC scored more than 90 points in a game for the first time since Dec. 3, 2009, when the Pioneers defeated Cazenovia 92-63 … Six different Pioneers scored in double digits in the 91 point effort.

Miceli Approaching Milestone: Senior guard Mary Miceli (New Rochelle, NY/New Rochelle) needs 40 points to become the 11^th player in program-history to score over 1,000 points in a career … She currently has 960 career points in 76 games played … The last player to join the 1,000 point club was Meghan Fiore back in 2012 … Miceli ranks third on the College's all-time list in 3-pointers made with 128 and she is one of six players in program-history with 100+ career 3-pointers.
 
Leading The Way: Utica has three players who are averaging 10 points or more per game so far this year … Miceli leads the team with 14.3 points per game … She has 43 points this year alongsiden 15 total rebounds and five assists … Ashelyne Babb (Lynn, MA/Winthrop) is second on the team averaging 13.3 points per game … Babb has 40 points on the year as well as 11 rebounds and five assists … Calypso Carty (Pipersville, PA/Central Bucks West) is third on the team with 10.3 points per game … Carty has 31 points so far this year as well as 15 rebounds and four steals.
 
Team Effort: Rachel Hunter (West Islip, NY/West Islip) leads the team with 20 total rebounds so far this season, she has 22 points on the year, and is averaging 7.3 points per game … Christy Traglia (Mohawk, NY/Mohawk) leads the team with nine assists, and she is averaging 3.3 points per game … Ashley Mayo (Nanuet, NY/Nanuet) is fourth on the team averaging 9.3 points per game, she has 28 points on the season to go along with 14 total rebounds and five assists.
 
Scouting SUNY POLY: The Wildcats will play their first game of the 2015-16 season against UC on Saturday … SUNY is returning eight players from last year including the teams leading scorer Geena Gallo who averaged 15.2 points per game.
 
Against The Wildcats: The Pioneers are 10-2 against SUNY Poly over the last 10 years … Utica has won the last two matchups 68-38 in the 2014-15 season and 71-56 in the 2013-14 season … The Wildcats last beat UC 76-70 in the 2012-13 season.
