UTICA, N.Y. – The Utica College women's tennis team lost to visiting Oswego State 9-0 at the UC tennis courts on Monday afternoon. The Pioneers are now 0-2 overall on the year and they return to action Friday when they host Plattsburgh State at 4 p.m.

Oswego began the day sweeping all three doubles matches, opening with an 8-0 victory from Giovanna Saulle and Madeline Klatt against Utica's Gabriella Morreale (Utica, NY/T.R Proctor) and Angelee Smith (Johnstown/Johnstown ).  UC's Doni Look (Bridgeport, NY/Chittenango) and Anastasia Fitzpatrick (Parksville, NY/Liberty) lost in second doubles 8-2, while Rose Zaloom (Utica, NY/T.R. Proctor) and Monica Johnson (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) took a narrow defeat in first singles 8-4. 

Zaloom dropped first singles 6-0, 6-3 against Jill Travis, while LuLu Zhang lost in sixth singles 6-1, 6-3.
