CARDINAL REPORT: Plattsburgh State presently holds a 1-3 overall record after recently dropping three straight at the SUNYAC Pool Play Tournament … The Cardinals lost to Oneonta, Cortland and New Paltz as they fell to 0-3 in league play … Plattsburgh's lone win came in its season-opener to Lyndon State College (VT) in shutout fashion.
HOUGHTON UP SUNDAY: HC opened up the season with three consecutive victories … The Highlanders beat Pitt-Bradford, 5-0, to open up their campaign and went on to beat St. John Fisher at home, 5-4, and Medaille on the road, 8-1 ... HC recently lost its first match of the season, 6-3, against Hartwick.
SCOUTING ELMIRA: The Soaring Eagles are currently 1-3 overall including a 0-2 mark in E8 play …. After losing to Hartwick and Stevens to open up its campaign, EC shutout D'Youville, 9-0, in its home-opener this past Sunday … Elmira then downed Daemen, 8-1, and will welcome Fisher on Friday before facing UC.
