UTICA, NY – The Utica College women's soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision against visiting Hamilton College at Charles A. Gaetano Stadium Sunday afternoon. Hamilton's Katja Dunlap netted one goal and added two assists to pace the Continentals.
Utica (2-6-2, 0-2 Empire 8) looks to snap a four game slide on Friday night when they host Nazareth College for an Empire 8 Conference contest. The game will be a part of the College's homecoming festivities and it begins at 5 p.m. Hamilton improved to 1-4-2 overall and the Continentals are still in search of their first win in the highly competitive NESCAC Conference.
Dunlap opened the scoring on the day with her first goal of the season in the 25
th minute when she received a through ball from Morgan Fletcher and converted on the goal to put the visitors on top 1-0.
Just under seven minutes later Victoria Freeman gave the Continentals a 2-0 lead when she scored off an assist from Dunlap at 31:28. Hamilton took its 2-0 lead into the half.
Katie Tenefrancia netted her second goal of the season at 52:13 when she headed home the Continentals third goal of the game directly off a corner kick from Becca Rees.
Darby Philbrock closed out the scoring on the day when she netter her second goal of the season, assisted by Dunlap, to hand the Continentals the four goal advantage.
Hamilton out shot UC 26-6 on the afternoon and also earned a 12-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Kimberly Beattie (Levitton, NY/Division Ave) made a career-high 13 saves in just her fourth start of the season. Hamilton goalie Rachel Cooley stopped four shots in net for the Continentals.
