MARCY, NY- Head Coach
Eileen Coyle picked up her first career win as the Utica College women's soccer team downed Hilbert College 2-0 in non-conference action at the SUNY Poly Tournament Friday evening.
Utica used one goal in each half to pick up its first victory of the young season. The Pioneers (1-1) return to action Saturday as they face Medaille College. Game time is scheduled for 2 p.m. at SUNY Poly's Wildcat Field.

Maddisen Melley (Wappingers Falls, NY/Roy C. Ketcham), last year's leading scorer, picked up right where she left off as she netted the eventual game-winner just 10 minutes into the contest. Freshman
Gabrielle Esposito (Rotterdam, NY/Mohonasen) also found the back of the net for her first career goal. Sophomore
Kimberly Beattie (Levitton, NY/Division Ave) made two saves to earn the shutout victory in her first career start.
UC outshot the Hawks 16-6 on the day and held a 4-0 advantage on corner kicks.
