UTICA, NY – The Utica College men's basketball team travels to take on Empire 8 Conference opponent Hartwick College on Wednesday night. The game is scheduled for 6 p.m.
 
Last Time Out: UC split conference games over the weekend defeating Ithaca 84-72 on Friday and losing to Nazareth 79-50 on Saturday … Robert Tutein (Nanuet, NY/Nanuet) scored over 20 points in each game putting up 29 against Ithaca and 23 against Nazareth.
 
Climbing The Record Books: Tutein is sixth on the Colleges' all-time 3-pointers made list with 129 … He needs three more 3-pointers to pass Matt Baldwin '13 and move into fifth place all-time … He is one of eight players in program-history to make 100 or more 3-pointers in a career … Tutein leads the team and is seventh in the conference in points per game (18.3) … He is also fourth in the conference in blocks per game (1.0), and is fifth in the conference in 3-pointers per game (2.9), and 3-point percentage (.387).
 
Sophomore Duo: Ivan Iton (Ossining, NY/Ossining) is third on the team averaging 10.0 points per game while Carl Taylor (East Brunswick, NJ/East Brunswick) is fifth on the team averaging 7.4 points per game … Iton has 119 rebounds, 24 assists, 15 blocks, and seven steals … Iton is ranked fourth in the conference in blocks per game (1.0) and is eighth in the conference in rebounds per game (7.9) … Taylor has contributed 73 rebounds, 46 assists, 11 steals, and five blocks so far this season.
 
Scouting Hartwick: The Hawks are 11-6 overall with a 6-2 Empire 8 record … Hartwick is currently on a one game losing streak and have dropped two of the last three games … The Hawks are led by Trevor Norton (20.6 points per game, 97 rebounds, 45 assists, 18 steals, and one block) and Joey Lufkin (15.4 points per game, 32 rebounds, 69 assists, and 14 steals).
 
Against The Hawks: The Pioneers lost at home78-65 to Hartwick earlier this season … UC is 3-8 against Hartwick over the last five years … In that time the Pioneers went 1-5 at home and 2-3 on the road against the Hawks … Last year Utica beat Hartwick 90-83 on the road and lost 83-64 at home.
