Ivan Iton (Ossining, NY/Ossining) had nine points and a team high 11 rebounds.
Climbing The Record Books: Tutein is sixth on the Colleges' all-time 3-pointers made list with 130 over the course of the last four seasons … He needs two more 3-pointers to pass Matt Baldwin '13 and move into fifth place all-time … He is one of eight players in program-history to make 100 or more 3-pointers in a career … Tutein leads the team and is sixth in the conference in points per game with 17.9 … He is also sixth in the conference in 3-point field goal percentage (.383), 3-pointers per game (2.8), and minutes per game (32.1) … He is tied for fifth in the conference in blocks per game (1.1).
Sophomore Duo: Ivan Iton (Ossining, NY/Ossining) and
Carl Taylor (East Brunswick, NJ/East Brunswick) are third and fifth on the team with 9.9 points per game and 7.3 points per game, respectively … Iton is tied for fifth in the conference in blocks per game (1.1) and seventh in the conference in rebounds per game (8.1) … Iton leads the team with 130 rebounds and has chipped in 25 assists, 17 blocks, and eight steals … Taylor leads the team with 47 assists and has added 66 rebounds, 11 steals, and five blocks.
Scouting Alfred: The Saxons are 7-11 overall and 3-6 in the Empire 8 … Alfred is currently on a three game losing streak … The Saxons are led by Tyler Seelman (17.8 points per game, 44 assists, 30 rebounds, 27 steals, and seven blocks) and Dalton Cousin (11.4 points per game, 89 rebounds, 22 assists, 16 steals, and 13 blocks).
Against The Saxons: UC lost to Alfred on the road 80-74 earlier this season … Utica is 6-5 over the last six years against the Saxons … Last year the Pioneers beat Alfred 81-75 on the road and lost 98-84 at home.
