Utica, NY – Utica College women's soccer suffered a loss today at the hands of Empire 8 opponent Stevens (13-0 overall, 6-0 conference). The Pioneers drop to a record of 2-11 overall and 1-4 in conference with the final score being 8-0.
Stevens had control of the game from the start, as they were able to score five goals in the first half. Senior Raba Nassif from Stevens scored four goals in the game as she now has 15 on the season. She leads the Empire 8 in goals so far this season. Stevens was able to score three more goals in the second half to finish the game off with the score of 8-0.
Freshman goalkeeper
Allison Wagner (Canandaigua, NY/Canandaigua Academy) faced 38 shots in the game. She was able to record 16 saves on the day. She has now made over ten saves in seven of the team's games so far this season.
The Pioneers will be on the road again October 19
th, as they will play Empire 8 foe Hartwick College. The game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
