UTICA, NY- The Utica College volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to visiting SUNY Poly Tuesday night in non-conference action at the Harold T. Clark Gymnasium.  With the win, the Wildcats take the season series 2-0.

Utica jumped out to a 6-3 lead in the first set, before the Wildcats were able to rally to take a 12-8 lead, which they would not relinquish as they went on to win the first set 25-16.  SUNY Poly cruised to a 25-14 victory in the second set before the Pioneers threatened in the final frame.  Utica went up 4-1 and led 17-13 at one point, before the Wildcats were able to rally to score seven straight points and take the third set 25-23.

Sophomore Hannah Voss (St. Louis, MO/Oakville) led Utica in three statistical categories, including kills (eight), assists (eight), and digs (13).  Freshman Lindsey Hannel (Victor, NY/Victor) led the team with three blocks, while Voss and Paige Klock (Herkimer, NY/Herkimer) each tallied two blocks on the day.
