Potsdam, NY- The Utica College women's lacrosse team fell to host Clarkson University, 11-1 in non-conference action Saturday afternoon.

The Pioneers, who had built up some momentum headed into the contest, fall to 2-2 overall. They have a whole week off before traveling to SUNY Potsdam next Saturday. Game time is scheduled for 1 p.m.

The Golden Knights jumped out to a 7-1 lead in the first half and added four more goals in the second stanza to improve to 2-1 overall. Junior
Rebecca Plunkett (Kings Park, NY/Kings Park) scored the lone goal for UC, while sophomore
Brooke Miller (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) added the assist.

Kells Casey (Sandwich, MA/Kimball Union Academy) made nine saves in the loss, while her counterparts, Samantha Gladd and Carrie Yurkon combined for eight saves in the win. Ashley Flick led Clarkson with five goals on the day. Â
