Ithaca, NY- The Utica College men's lacrosse team dropped its Empire 8 Conference opener as it fell to host Ithaca College, 18-4, Saturday afternoon.

Brickman House (Oneida, WI/Pulaski) led the way for UC with two goals, while freshman
Bob Zattola (Somers, NY/Somers) and sophomore
Nick Yelich (Lancaster, NY/Depew) each found the back of the net once. Senior
Andrew DiOrio (Greenlawn, NY/Harborfields) and junior
Parker Smith (Dexter, NY/General Brown) combined for 16 saves.Â

Ten different players scored for Ithaca, led by Kaelan Fitzpatrick who had a game-high six goals on the afternoon. Scott Sidnam, Justin Isaacs, and Jack Deragon combined for 14 saves in the win.

Utica drops to 1-6 on the year, while the Bombers improve to 7-1. UC will look to bounce back Wednesday as it travels to Oswego, NY for a match up against the Lakers. The opening faceoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
