UTICA, NY- The Utica College baseball team hits the road for non-conference action against Oneonta on Tuesday and a doubleheader against SUNY Poly on Wednesday. Tuesday's game is scheduled for 4 p.m. while Wednesday's doubleheader starts at 2 p.m.

Last Time Out: Utica went 2-1 against Ithaca taking both games on Saturday before losing the final game on Sunday … UC held off a late comeback attempt by the Bombers taking the first game 7-5 while coming from behind to defeat Ithaca 9-8 in the second game … On Sunday the Bombers avoided the weekend sweep when their offense unloaded for 20 runs to earn a 20-6 victory.

Conference Standings: The Pioneers (4-16 overall, 4-8 Empire 8) sit at fourth place in the conference ahead of Houghton (13-16 overall, 3-6 E8), SUNY Canton (8-18 overall, 3-9 E8), and Elmira (8-15 overall, 2-8 E8) … Stevens (19-10 overall, 10-2 E8) sits atop the conference while St. John Fisher (20-6 overall, 8-0 E8) and Ithaca (14-12 overall, 6-3 E8) sit in second and third respectively.

Dom Caccioppoli (Circleville, NY/Pine Bush ) has been reliable out of the bull pen for the Pioneers this season and boasts a 4.50 earned run average over 16 innings of work.
