Box Score MARCY, NY- The Utica College women's soccer team dropped a close one Wednesday night as it fell to host SUNY Poly in non-conference action. The loss marks the first time UC has fallen to the Wildcats in over five years.

SUNY Poly responded in the 25
th minute as McKenna Hungerford was able to beat keeper
Jamie Enders (Cazenovia, NY/Cazenovia) for her first of the season. Madisyn Proper assisted on the play.
The Wildcats took the lead in the 53
rd minute as Alicia Wittmann scored an unassisted tally. It was short-lived however, as Rodriguez scored a timely goal just five minutes later to tie the game. Classmate
Ciara McIlvenny (Pleasant Valley, NY/Arlington) assisted on Rodriguez's first of the year.
SUNY Poly took the lead for good in the 75
th minute off a goal from Corrina Marconi, her second of the year. Brittany Waterbury tallied an assist on the game-winner.
Enders finished with five saves, while SUNY Poly's Angela Bartlett turned aside four shots.
The Pioneers return to action on Saturday as they open up Empire 8 Conference play at home against St. John Fisher College. Game time is scheduled for 12 p.m.
