UTICA, NY- The Utica College women's soccer team is set to face Elmira College in a homecoming showdown Saturday evening.  Game time is scheduled for 6 p.m.
 
LAST TIME OUT: UC had one blemish as it fell to host Hamilton College, 1-0, in non-conference action Sunday afternoon... A one-goal margin is the closest margin of victory between the two teams since Oct. 14, 2009, when UC won 1-0… Allison Wagner (Canandaigua, NY/Canandaigua Academy) was solid in net as she made 11 saves…  This marks the third time in five starts that she has made more than 10 saves.
 
ON THE ATTACK: Senior Ciara McIlvenny (Pleasant Valley, NY/Arlington) and junior Keri Berkowitz (Racine, WI/Racine Saint Catherine's) lead the team with four points each (one goal, two assists)… Senior Xiomara Rodriguez (Bay Shore, NY/Brentwood) has three points (one goal, one assist), while sophomores Jenna Mazza (Frankfort, NY/Sauquoit Valley) and Abby Reilly (Brookfield, NY/Brookfield) each have one goal.
 
SHUTTING THE DOOR: Freshman Allison Wagner (Canandaigua, NY/Canandaigua Academy) is currently second in the Empire 8 with 46 saves… She has compiled a .754 save percentage and 3.75 goals against average in five appearances… Wagner has also totaled 24 saves in her last two starts.
 
SCOUTING ELMIRA: The Soaring Eagles are also looking for their first win after starting the season 0-5-1… They are coming off a 2-1 loss to Pitt-Bradford on Wednesday… Elmira is led by juniors Jordynn Rousselle and Sara Kazerouni, who each have two goals and one assist.
 
AGAINST THE SOARING EAGLES: UC is 0-5 against Elmira in the last five years… The Pioneers last defeated the Soaring Eagles 3-2 in 2009…  Last year UC fell 3-1 at Elmira… Jenna Mazza (Frankfort, NY/Sauquoit Valley) scored the only goal for UC.
 
LOOKING AHEAD: The Pioneers will remain home on Wednesday as they host Ithaca College… Game time is scheduled for 4 pm.
