UTICA, NY- The Utica College women's soccer team remains home Wednesday as it hosts Ithaca College.  Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
 
LAST TIME OUT: UC exploded with three second half goals on its way to a 4-1 Empire 8 Conference victory over visiting Elmira College on Saturday night…  Sophomore Jenna Mazza (Frankfort, NY/Sauquoit Valley) netted a career-high two goals and added one assist while junior Keri Berkowitz (Racine, WI/Racine Saint Catherine's) added one goal and two assists to pace the Pioneers… Junior Jordynn Miller (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) scored her first collegiate goal off an assist from Amanda Pawlikowski (Vernon, NY/Vernon Verona Sherrill) and freshman Allison Wagner (Canandaigua, NY/Canandaigua Academy) made seven saves in net for her first career win.
 
LEADING THE WAY: Junior Keri Berkowitz (Racine, WI/Racine Saint Catherine's) has a team-high eight points (two goals, four assists)… After leading the team in scoring as a freshman, sophomore Jenna Mazza (Frankfort, NY/Sauquoit Valley) is currently second on the squad with seven points… She has a team-best four goals and has totaled seven points in the last four games.

HELPING OUT: Four other players have recorded goals this season… Seniors Ciara McIlvenny (Pleasant Valley, NY/Arlington) and Xiomara Rodriguez (Bay Shore, NY/Brentwood), as well as junior Jordynn Miller (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) and sophomore Abby Reilly (Brookfield, NY/Brookfield) each have one goal to their credit.
 
SHUTTING THE DOOR: Freshman Allison Wagner (Canandaigua, NY/Canandaigua Academy) has been stellar between the pipes… She ranks second in the Empire 8 Conference with 53 saves and she has compiled a .768 save percentage and 3.20 goals against average.
 
SCOUTING ITHACA: The Bombers are currently 4-1-2 overall and 0-0-1 in the E8… They are coming off a 2-2 tie against Hartwick on Saturday… Ithaca is led by senior Jocelyn Ravesi, who has four goals and two assists through seven games.
 
AGAINST THE BOMBERS: The Pioneers are 0-5 against Ithaca over the last five years … Ithaca has shutout Utica the last five games and has only given up four goals to the Pioneers in the last eight years …  UC last beat the Bombers 2-1 in 2008.
 
LOOKING AHEAD:  UC will travel to Nazareth College on Saturday for an Empire 8 match up… Game time is scheduled for 3 p.m.
