Cobleskill, N.Y. -- The Utica College women's tennis team lost to host Oswego State 9-0 in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon. The Pioneers record moved to 3-6 overall on the season and they return to the court for a pair of matches this weekend at home against Houghton College on Saturday (1 p.m.) and Plattsburgh State on Sunday (10 a.m.).

Utica's Sara Gribanoff (West Winfield, NY/Mount Markham) played tough in second singles but eventually fell by the set scores of 6-3, 3-6, 10-4.  Gribanoff and Julianne Pieros (Alpha, NJ/Phillipsburg) teamed up in first doubles, but lost to Oswego's Alli Ullrich and Jill Travis, 8-4.

Bianca Bockhaus (Shenorock, NY/Somers) lost in sixth singles for the Pioneers by the set scores of 6-1, 6-1.
