UTICA, NY- The Utica College women's hockey team puts its four-game win streak on the line this weekend with a big home-and-home series against ECAC West foe and nationally ranked No. 8/9 Oswego State.  The Pioneers will travel to Oswego on Friday to take on the Lakers, before both teams return to Utica to face off at the Utica Memorial Auditorium on Saturday.  Both games are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
 
LAST TIME OUT: UC is coming off a 2-0 win over SUNY Canton on Tuesday… Sophomore Kayla Dion (Colchester, VT/Boston Shamrocks ) had a goal and an assist, while classmate Jennifer Liu (North Saanich, British Columbia/Shaftesbury Titans ) netted the game-winner… Emily Coope (Phoenix, AZ/Colorado Tigers), Meghan Power (Windsor, Ontario/Southwest Wildcats), and Gabrielle Schnepp (Northville, MI/Belle Tire) each recorded one assist… Senior Keira Goin (Dobbs Ferry, NY/Hotchkiss School) made 19 saves for her third shutout of the season.
 
THEY'VE GOT THE POWER: Junior Meghan Power (Windsor, Ontario/Southwest Wildcats) is tied for the team-lead with 11 points and nine assists on the season… Power has registered at least one point in six of her last eight outings… Power has already surpassed her point total of eight from last season.
 
"COOPE" THERE IT IS: Senior Emily Coope (Phoenix, AZ/Colorado Tigers) leads the team with five goals on the year… Her 10 points rank second on the squad… She needs just three more points to mark her highest point total in her career at UC.
 
CLOSING IN: Senior Gabrielle Schnepp (Northville, MI/Belle Tire) needs two more points to become just the fifth player in program history to record 100 points in her career… She has 98 points (38 goals, 60 assists) in 93 games played… This season, she is tied with Power for first on the team with 11 points and nine assists to her credit… She has tallied at least one point in seven of the last eight games played.
 
KEEP IT "GOIN": On Tuesday, senior Keira Goin (Dobbs Ferry, NY/Hotchkiss School) recorded her 12^th career shutout, passing Sarah Detwiler '05 for first on the College's all-time list… Goin also holds the program's single-season shutout record of seven, which she accomplished last year… On the season, Goin ranks ninth nationally with a 1.17 goals against average and she also holds an impressive .948 save percentage. 
 
SCOUTING OSWEGO: The Lakers are currently ranked No. 8/9 in the latest USCHO.com and d3hockey.com national polls… Oswego is 11-2 overall and 5-1 in the ECAC West… Oswego picked up a big 3-2 win over defending national champion and No. 1 ranked Plattsburgh State on Nov. 20… Four players have tallied at least ten points on the season, led by junior Olivia Ellis, who has 24 points (nine goals, 15 assists) and senior Alexa Aramburu, who has 23 points (10 goals, 13 assists).
 
AGAINST THE LAKERS: Utica is 13-6-2 all-time against Oswego… Last year Utica downed the Lakers 4-1 in Oswego before skating to a 2-2 tie in Utica… Gabrielle Schnepp (Northville, MI/Belle Tire) had three assists on the weekend, while Lauren Patterson (Burlington, Ontario/Oakville) had one goal and two assists… Kayla Dion (Colchester, VT/Boston Shamrocks ), Jane Pagano (Erie, PA/Tabor Academy), Danielle Haasbeek (Grand Forks, ND/Balmoral Hall), and Samantha Husak (Jackson, MI/Grass Lake) each had one assist.

LOOKING AHEAD: The Pioneers will hit the road next week with a non-conference game at Lebanon Valley on Tuesday (3 p.m.)… UC will then travel to nationally ranked No. 1 Plattsburgh State next weekend for an ECAC West series against the Cardinals.
