Potsdam, NY - The Utica College women's soccer team lost to SUNY Potsdam on the road Friday, 3-2. The loss drops UC's record down to 2-3-1 overall this season.
The Bears took the lead early with a goal from Lexi Dean, less than six minutes into the first half. In the 23rd minute of the contest, Potsdam was awarded a penalty kick. Amber Hyatt was successful on the penalty attempt and sent the Pioneers into halftime down 2-0.Â
Abby Reilly (Brookfield, NY/Brookfield) put Utica on the board in the early goings of the second half, with the assist coming from
Jenna Mazza (Frankfort, NY/Sauquoit Valley). Shortly after UC's score, Potsdam answered as Brooke Falsion scored to make the count 3-1 in favor of the Bears. In the final six minutes of play, Utica's
Emily Mildner (Pine Bush, NY/Pine Bush)Â netted her first collegiate goal, coming from
Carly Craft (Ellenville, NY/Ellenville)'s first collegiate assist. Â

The Pioneers return to action on Saturday for another away game. The team will face-off against Clarkson University, starting at 2 p.m.
