GENEVA, NY- William Smith College scored two goals in the third period to down the Utica College women's hockey team 2-1 in UCHC Conference action Saturday evening.

The teams will wrap up the season series Sunday afternoon in Utica. Game time is scheduled for 3 p.m.

After a scoreless first period, Utica broke the deadlock at 7:21 as senior
Jennifer Arts (Lakeside, Ontario/London Devilettes) netted her third of the year, assisted by
Rebecca Brown (Steamboat Springs, CO/Norwich University) and
Lexi Stanisewski (Lawrence, MA/Boston Shamrocks).

William Smith tied it up just over halfway through the third period when Catherine Linehan netted her second of the year off assists from Jordan Roetzer and Egan Sachs-Hecht. The home team pulled ahead with 2:43 remaining in regulation as Emily Martino converted on a power play opportunity for her fourth of the season.Â

Utica was held scores on five power plays while William Smith went 1-for-8. Sophomore
Bria Reilly (Hamden, CT/Brewster Academy) stopped 26 shots in her third straight start while Maggie Salmon made 22 saves in the win.Â
