UTICA, NY – The Utica College men's soccer team dropped a 6-0 decision against visiting Middlebury College in non-conference action on the turf at Charles A. Gaetano Stadium on Monday afternoon.
Middlebury, who recently tied nationally-ranked No. 3 Tufts, improved to 5-2-3 overall. Utica's record fell to 4-8-1. The Pioneers return to the pitch on Saturday when they travel to Elmira College to take on the Soaring Eagles at 3 p.m. in Empire 8 Conference play.
Middlebury's Daniel O'Grady got the Panthers on the board in the 6
thminute when he netted his third goal of the season off a long-ball assist from Drew Goulart.
Aidan Robinson then netted his first of two goals on the day to give the Panthers a 2-0 lead at 28:53. Brendan Barry put the visitors on top 3-0 just before the half as he netted his first of the season off assists from Daniel O'Grady and Fazl Shaikh.
Middlebury outscored Utica 3-0 in the second half to earn the 6-0 victory. Ben Potter and Drew Goulart each finished with two assists, while Kyle Moffat and Jacob LaBranche each added a second half goal.
