UTICA, NY- The Utica College women's hockey team looks to keep its momentum going Tuesday as it travels to nearby Morrisville State for a non-conference contest.  Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
 
LAST TIME OUT: UC downed local rival Hamilton College 3-2 in non-conference play Sunday afternoon… Olivia Hirschy (Fort Wayne, IN/Culver Academies) scored two goals and Nicole Johnson (North Easton, MA/Holderness) had the other tally… Rebecca Brown (Steamboat Springs, CO/Norwich University), Caley Susitti (Hartland, WI/Milwaukee Jr. Admirals), Katrina Cornick (Mason City, IA/Rocky Mountain Roughriders), Kirsten Johnson (Brockville, Ontario/RSL Midget Thunder AA), and Kyra Borsoi (Brossard, Quebec/Holderness) each had one helper… Bria Reilly (Hamden, CT/Brewster Academy) made 35 saves in the win.
 
HOT START: The Pioneers are undefeated at 9-0 on the season… This marks Utica's best start in program history… Additionally, a nine-game winning streak is the longest such streak in program history, beating the previous mark of eight, which was accomplished three times (2001-02, 2013-14, 2016-17)…  UC has outscored its opponents 40-9 so far this season.
 
RECEIVING VOTES: Utica's hot start has not gone unnoticed as the Pioneers are currently receiving votes in both national polls… Utica picked up two votes in the USCHO.com poll and one vote in the D3hockey.com poll.
 
NO SOPHOMORE SLUMP: Sophomore Lexi Stanisewski (Lawrence, MA/Boston Shamrocks) leads the team with eight assists and 12 points… She has been held scoreless just twice this season… Stanisewski has also won 62 percent of her faceoffs (91-of-148).
 
RIGHT BEHIND YA: Junior Rebecca Brown (Steamboat Springs, CO/Norwich University) and senior Elizabeth Dohner (Highlands Ranch, CO/Colorado Selects) are right on Stanisewski's heels… Brown has 11 points on the season, including a team-high six goals… She also has recorded at least one point in each game this year… Dohner, meanwhile has ten points (four goals, six assists), and she is the active leader with 58 points in her career.
 
WINNER, WINNER, CHICKEN DINNER: Junior Olivia Hirschy (Fort Wayne, IN/Culver Academies) is tied for second in the country with three game-winning goals… Hirschy is also right behind Brown with five goals on the season… In her career, Utica is 17-1 in games where Hirschy scores at least one point. 
 
SHUTTING THE DOOR: Amongst goalies who have played at least two games this year, junior Bria Reilly (Hamden, CT/Brewster Academy) ranks seventh nationally with a 1.00 goals against average… She is also 14^th in the country in save percentage (.946).
 
SCOUTING MORRISVILLE: The Mustangs, who are led by former Pioneer captain, Melissa Lomanto, are 6-3-1 overall and 3-2-1 in the Colonial Hockey Conference… Morrisville made its first NCAA Tournament appearance last season, before being bounced in the quarterfinals by eventual National Champion, Norwich University… The Mustangs are led by junior Jessica Ujcik, who has 15 points (nine goals, six assists) through 10 games.
 
AGAINST THE MUSTANGS: Utica is 4-1 all-time against Morrisville… Four of the five games have been decided by just one goal… Last year, The Mustangs downed UC 2-1 in Utica's annual gold ribbon game for childhood cancer awareness… Danielle Haasbeek (Grand Forks, ND/Balmoral Hall) scored Utica's lone goal in the game.
