WILKES-BARRE, PA- The Utica College women's hockey team earned a convincing win in its United Collegiate Hockey Conference opener Saturday night as it downed host Kings College 4-0. Senior
Taylor Dion (Colchester, VT/Boston Shamrocks) led the Pioneers with two goals on the day, while junior
Bria Reilly (Hamden, CT/Brewster Academy) picked up the shutout.

The Pioneers improve to 3-0 on the season. The teams will wrap up the season series on Sunday at 2 p.m.

Dion opened the scoring at 11:50 of the first period as she put in a feed from junior
Ricki Haab (Stowe, VT/Stowe).Â
Kyra Borsoi (Brossard, Quebec/Holderness) was also credited with an assist on the play.

The Pioneers extended the lead with a pair of goals in the second period. The first came off the stick of senior
Elizabeth Dohner (Highlands Ranch, CO/Colorado Selects) at 3:27 to give UC a two-goal lead.Â
Sirena Fitzery (Hamburg, NY/Buffalo Bisons) assisted on the insurance tally for her first collegiate point.

Rebecca Brown (Steamboat Springs, CO/Norwich University) extended the lead at 13:20 as she put in her team-leading fourth of the year, assisted by
Katrina Cornick (Mason City, IA/Rocky Mountain Roughriders) and
Caley Susitti (Hartland, WI/Milwaukee Jr. Admirals). Dion capped off the scoring at 10:46 of the third as she scored a power play tally off assists from Cornick and
Kirsten Johnson (Brockville, Ontario/RSL Midget Thunder AA).

Reilly turned aside all 12 shots she faced, while her counterpart, Kiva Sierra Stoltz made 37 saves in the loss.Â
