UTICA, NY- The Utica College women's hockey team travels to Manhattanville this weekend for a UCHC Conference series against the Valiants.  Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday and 3 p.m. on Saturday.
 
LAST TIME OUT: Utica is coming off a 3-2 win at Salem State on Tuesday… Trailing 2-1 in the third period, senior Taylor Osowski (Highlands Ranch, CO/Colorado Selects) scored the tying goal at the halfway point of the third period and added another tally just over four minutes later to help lead the Pioneers to victory… Osowski also assisted on Utica's opening goal, which was scored by classmate Kelly Critzer (West Salem, OH/Ohio Flames)… Veronique Lortie (Chambly, Quebec/Berkshire School), Carlie Smith (Grimsby, Ontario/St. Catharine's Chaos), Elizabeth Dohner (Highlands Ranch, CO/Colorado Selects), and Jennifer Arts (Lakeside, Ontario/London Devilettes) were each credited with one on the day… Freshman Ryann Stripp (Holland Patent, NY/Clinton Warriors) made 13 saves to pick up her first career win. 
 
ON THE ROAD AGAIN: This weekend is the end of a five-game road trip for UC… The Pioneers have gone 1-1-1 in their last three games and will look to end the trip on a high note… Utica is 3-5-1 on the road this year and 6-3 on its home ice. 
 
HEATING UP: Senior Taylor Osowski (Highlands Ranch, CO/Colorado Selects) has netted three goals and one assist in her last three games… Osowski, who was Utica's leading goal-scorer last season finished her junior campaign with 11 points in the final 12 games… Osowski is peaking at the right time as Utica has six regular season games remaining, all of which are UCHC Conference contests.  
 
LEADING THE WAY: Sophomore Rebecca Brown (Steamboat Springs, CO/Norwich University) and junior Elizabeth Dohner (Highlands Ranch, CO/Colorado Selects) each have a team-high 14 points… They also have a share in the team lead with five goals and nine assists. 
 
HELPING OUT: Danielle Haasbeek (Grand Forks, ND/Balmoral Hall) and Meghan Power (Windsor, Ontario/Southwest Wildcats) are tied for third on the squad with 12 points each… Both Haasbeek and Power are also tied with Brown and Dohner for first on the team with nine assists.
 
SCOUTING MANHATTANVILLE: The Valiants are 9-9-1 overall and 6-4 in the UCHC… They are coming off a pair of 2-1 losses at William Smith last weekend… Junior Nicole Mensi leads the team in goals (12), assists (10), and points (22). 
 
AGAINST THE VALIANTS: Manhattanville defeated Utica 4-1 in the second weekend of the season earlier this year… The Pioneers fell down 3-0 before Danielle Haasbeek (Grand Forks, ND/Balmoral Hall) was able to put UC on the board in the third period… Katrina Cornick (Mason City, IA/Rocky Mountain Roughriders ) and Samantha Husak (Jackson, MI/Belle Tire) assisted on the goal… Amanda Lupo (Auburn, NY/Skaneateles) had 22 saves in the loss. 
 
LOOKING AHEAD: Utica will return home next weekend to take on Lebanon Valley College… Game time is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
