OSWEGO, NY- The Utica College volleyball team split on day two of the Oswego Invitational on Saturday. The Pioneers dropped their first match 3-0 to St. Lawrence University, before downing D'Youville College 3-0 to wrap up the day.

Senior
Nicole Herringshaw (Syracuse, NY/Cicero-North Syracuse) led Utica with six kills and two blocks in the loss. Five other players recorded kills including
Kurstan Martin (Owego, NY/Tioga),
Morgan Farmer (Saranac Lake, NY/Saranac Lake),
Meaghan Romaguera (Stone Ridge, NY/Rondout),
Rosemarie Fesko (Goshen, NY/Central), and
Miranda Stockbridge (Waterville, NY/Waterville).
Senior
Hannah Voss (St. Louis, MO/Oakville) led the Pioneer defense with 11 digs, while Stockbridge and Farmer each had three digs.

The Pioneers jumped out to an early lead and cruised to a 3-0 win to pick up their first victory of the season.
Nicole Herringshaw (Syracuse, NY/Cicero-North Syracuse) once again led the attack as she totaled seven kills, while
Meaghan Romaguera (Stone Ridge, NY/Rondout) and
Megan Rice (Leverett, MA/Amherst Regional) each had five kills.
Defensively, Herringshaw totaled four blocks, while
Rosemarie Fesko (Goshen, NY/Central) and
Miranda Stockbridge (Waterville, NY/Waterville) each had three blocks. Senior
Hannah Voss (St. Louis, MO/Oakville) also collected a team-high 15 digs.
The Pioneers return to action on Thursday as they travel to SUNY Cobleskill. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
