Utica, NY – The Utica College women's tennis team hits the road this weekend, as it travels to face Nazareth College on Saturday. This Empire 8 tennis match is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
 
Last Time Out: The Pioneers hosted Sage earlier in the week for some E8 conference action. The Gators went home with the win, beating UC 8-1 on the day. Julianne Pieros (Alpha, NJ/Phillipsburg) earned Utica's sole match point in the first singles slot, as she defeated Sage's Abby Clobridge 6-2, 7-6. The loss puts the team's record down to 0-6 overall and 0-4 against conference foes.
 
Scouting Naz: The Nazareth College Golden Flyers are standing undefeated at this point in the season, owning a 4-0 record overall and a 3-0 mark within the E8. The Golden Flyers most recently took down Stevens, 5-4, after sweeping Hartwick, 9-0, in a previous match. The team plays well at home, boasting a 3-0 record at its home courts.
 
Looking Ahead: UC will be on the road once again Wednesday, September 26^th, as it will head out to battle St. John Fisher. This E8 competition will commence at 4 p.m.
