Women's Soccer Ties Buffalo State on the Road

Buffalo, NY – The Utica College women's soccer team faced off against the Bengals of Buffalo State Wednesday night, on the road. The game resulted in a 0-0 tie, after this double-overtime battle. The Pioneers record moves to 0-2-1 on the season.
 
Buffalo State outshot UC 16-7 in regulation, but Allison Wagner's (Canandaigua, NY/Canandaigua Academy) eight save effort in net denied the Bengals on multiple scoring chances. Wagner records her first shutout of the 2018 season after the score remaining 0-0 after the two overtime periods.
 
The Pioneers placed five shots on goal in the contest, compared to the Bengals' eight shots on target. Buffalo State was awarded eight corner kick opportunities over UC's two corner chances.
 
Taylor Carillo, Buffalo State goalkeeper, also earned a shutout to go five saves in the tie. The Bengals now sit at 0-2-1 on the year.
 
Utica is on the road for the final match of a four game road trip Saturday, as the team heads out to play SUNY Canton. The game is set to commence at 1 p.m.
