UTICA, NY- The Utica College women's soccer team suffered its first Empire 8 Conference loss of the season Saturday as it fell to Hartwick College 2-0.
 
The Hawks got revenge after the Pioneers eliminated them in the semifinals of the Empire 8 Tournament last season.
 
Hartwick scored the opening goal at 13:20 and added an insurance tally in the 65^th minute to improve to 7-2-1 overall ad 2-0-1 I conference play.
 
Senior goalie Allison Wagner (Canandaigua, NY/Canandaigua Academy) made five saves in the loss, while her counterpart, Cassandra Robataille stopped all seven shots she faced.  
 
The Pioneers (7-3, 2-1 Empire 8) return to action Wednesday as they host SUNY Poly.  Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
