Utica, NY - The Utica College women's tennis team is scheduled for a two-game road trip this weekend, facing Houghton on Saturday and Plattsburgh State on Sunday. Both matches are slated for a 1 p.m. start.
Last time out: The Pioneers dominated their first match of the year against Delhi , winning by a convincing 8-1 decision. The Pioneers won five of the six singles matches, with victories from freshmen

Sabrina Pin () and
Camryn Sullivan (), as well as junior
Bianca Bockhaus (Shenorock, NY/Somers) and sophomore
Selma Ahmetasevic (Utica, NY/T.R. Proctor).
UC also dominated all three doubles matches as well. Junior
Madeline McIlnay (York, PA/York Suburban) and
Morgan Willis () took first doubles by a score of 8-6. Pin and Sullivan kept pace in second doubles with a 8-3 win, and Brockhaus and Ahmetasevic recorded the most convincing doubles victory with an 8-2 win.
Scouting Houghton: The highlanders finished the 2018 season with an overall record of 5-10, and they have split their matchups to start 2019, winning the first match of the year against Oswego (5-4) and dropping their last match to Cortland (7-2).
Scouting Plattsburgh State: The Cardinals have accumulated a 2-2 record for far in 2019, with big 9-0 wins over Castleton University and Northern Vermont University-Johnson and losses to Farmingdale State (9-0) and SUNY New Paltz (6-3).
