ADRIAN, MI- The Utica College women's hockey team fell to nationally ranked No. 5 Adrian College by the score of 5-1 in non-conference action Saturday evening.
 
Adrian used a pair of goals in both the first and second periods to take a commanding 4-0 lead.  Utica finally got on the board at 14:24 of the second as freshman 
Carolyn Whitney (Raleigh, NC/Milbrook School) netted her fourth of the season to cut the lead to 4-1.  Classmate 
Erica Sloan (Potsdam, NY/St. Lawrence Steel) and sophomore 
Maddie Paydos (Simsbury, CT/Vermont Academy) assisted on the tally.
 
The Bulldogs put the game away with a score in the third period as they improved to 10-2-2 on the year.  Brianna Buchanan led the way for Adrian with two goals and an assist, while Brooke Schembri had three assists. 
 
Senior 
Bria Reilly (Hamden, CT/Brewster Academy) made a career-high 47 saves in the loss, while her counterpart, Mia Glassco finished with 20 saves for the Bulldogs.  
 
The teams wrap up the season series Sunday at 3 p.m.
