Utica, NY - The Utica College men's and women's swim & dive team dropped their final meet of the season to Clarkson University Saturday afternoon by the following scores:

This Senior Day meet honored six Pioneers who competed in their final home meet at the Utica College Pool: Sean Neary (Marlborough, CT/Montana State), Matt Patton (Waterford, CT/Waterford), Daniela Hannah (Dalton, GA/Northwest Whitfield), Rebecca Merrill (Chelmsford, MA/Chelmsford), Emily Czerwonka (Souderton, PA/Souderton Area) and Courtney Kennedy (Smithtown, NY/Our Lady of Mercy).
Hannah was a standout all afternoon, notching the lone first-place finish for the Pioneers in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:59.69. She also added a third-place finish in the 100 yard IM with a time of 1:11.57. Merrill kept pace with Hannah, finishing just behind her in fourth place with a time of 1:13.18 in the same event. Merrill's best finish of the afternoon came in a second-place showing in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 2:31.40.
Kate Anderson (Lynbrook, NY/Lynbrook) also had a very impressive afternoon, posting second-place finishes in the 50 yard freestyle (28.57) and 200 yard backstroke (2:34.65).
Diver Matt Patton (Waterford, CT/Waterford) excelled on the board, placing second in both the one meter and three meter diving events with scores of 239.45 and 412.60, respectively.
Coleman Barry (Levittown, NY/Division) led the swimmers on the men's side, tabbing the highest finish of second place in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 2:17.78. Jackson Sorbello (Rome, NY/RFA) also had a solid outing, posting two third-place finishes in the 50 (24.34) and 100 yard (54.35) freestyle. Lucas DiLego (Oneida, NY/Oneida) rounded out the men's sheet with a third-place finish of his own in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:01.61.
Utica returns to action on February 18 for the Empire 8 Championships. This championship week extends all the way through to February 22, and will be hosted in Rochester for the men and Webster for the women.
