UTICA, NY- The Utica College women's hockey team finished off a weekend sweep as it topped Wilkes University 2-0 in UCHC Conference action Saturday afternoon.

Junior
Lexi Stanisewski (Lawrence, MA/Boston Shamrocks) put Utica on the board at 11:41 as she jammed home a rebound for her sixth goal of the year and third of the weekend.
Caley Susitti (Hartland, WI/Milwaukee Jr. Admirals) and
Olivia Hirschy (Fort Wayne, IN/Culver Academies) each picked up assists on the eventual game-winner.

The Pioneers added an insurance tally at 2:33 of the second stanza when freshman
Erica Sloan (Potsdam, NY/St. Lawrence Steel) took a feed from classmate
Maggie Rylott (Cobourg, Ontario/West Northumberland) and made a nice move at the top of the crease to net her seventh of the season.  Senior
Ricki Haab (Stowe, VT/Stowe) also had an assist on the play.

That was all Utica needed as the Pioneer defense, led by senior
Bria Reilly (Hamden, CT/Brewster Academy), shut the door.  Reilly finished with 30 saves on the day for her second straight shutout. She now moves into a tie with Sarah Detwiler for second all-time with 11 shutouts at UC.

The Pioneers (9-13-1, 9-4-1 UCHC) wrap up the regular season next weekend with a UCHC Conference road trip.  UC will take on William Smith on Saturday at 4 p.m. before wrapping up the weekend at Elmira on Sunday (3 p.m.)
