UTICA, NY – The Utica College men's lacrosse team returns home Wednesday to host Marywood University in a non-conference contest.  Game time is 4 p.m.

Last Time Out: The Pioneers are coming off an 11-8 loss to SUNY Potsdam on Saturday… James Daniele (Pleasantville, NY/Pleasantville) led his team's offensive efforts, tallying a team-best two goals and one assist… Five other players were able to find the back of the net… Ryan Boshart (Fayetteville, NY/Fayetteville-Manlius) and Jozef Korpics (Center Valley, PA/Moravian Academy) split time in goal with Boshart making seven saves and Korpics finishing with nine stops… Jimmy Vienneau (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) led the team in faceoffs, going 4-for-8.

Pioneers By The Numbers: Daniele leads the team with eight points and three assists… He is one back from the team-lead with five goals so far… The midfielder has appeared in all four contests, making starts in three of them... Juniors Dale Wagner (Elbridge, NY/Jordan Elbridge) and Dylan Dunham (Elbridge, NY/Jordan Elbridge) lead the team with six goals apiece.
 
Leading Their Class: Freshman Gage Fiacco (Massena, NY/Massena) is the first of the rookies to record a point, notching his first collegiate goal at Potsdam on Saturday... In goal, Korpics has appeared in all four contests, starting in three of them… Amongst goalies who have played at least 60 minutes this year, the Center Valley, PA native ranks third in the Empire 8 with a .543 save percentage. 
 
Clean Up Crew: Sophomore Kevin Parisi (Glenwood, NJ/Vernon Township) leads his squad with eight caused turnovers, currently averaging 2.0 a contest... Jacob Hyer (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) has proven to be fast on the ground, accounting for a team-high 16 ground balls, including eight against Potsdam.
 
Scouting Marywood: The Pacers are 2-5 on the year and they are coming off a loss to St. Joseph's College on Saturday… Dalton Metzger has team-highs in points (18) and assists (11), while Jeff Johnsen leads the team with 14 goals.
 
Against the Pacers: This will be the third meeting between Utica and Marywood… The Pioneers are 1-1 against the Pacers, with the home team winning both games… Last year, UC dropped a 13-11 decision at Marywood… Dale Wagner (Elbridge, NY/Jordan Elbridge) and John Avery (Pittsford, NY/Pittsford-Mendon) led the squad with three goals each, while James Daniele (Pleasantville, NY/Pleasantville) dished out four assists.
