Women's XC Places 4th at Hamilton

CLINTON, NY- The Utica College women's cross country team finished in fourth place at the Hamilton Invitational on Saturday. Freshman Jade Dening (Remsen, NY/Remsen) was Utica's top finisher as she placed eighth overall.
 
Dening ran a time of 20:06.5 on the 5k course.  Kristin Daino (Johnson City, NY/Maine-Endwell) was 19th overall with a time of 21:32.6.  Sarah Sharpe (New York Mills, NY/New York Mills) and Laura Levi (Inlet, NY/Town of Webb) placed 26th and 27th overall with times of 22:24.0 and 22:50.7, respectively.  Brieann Lohmann (West Winfield, NY/Mount Markham) (25:37.0) and Emma Zacharewicz (Round Lake, NY/Saratoga Central Catholic) (27:35.7) rounded out the field for the Pioneers.
 
The Pioneers will have two weeks off before returning to Hamilton on Oct. 23 for the Short Course Invitational.
