ROCHESTER, NY- The Utica College women's soccer team dropped its first conference game of the season Saturday as it fell to Nazareth College 3-0.

Despite the home team outshooting the Pioneers 19-2 in the first half, the game remained scoreless through the first 45 minutes of play. Naz kept up the pressure in the second half and was finally able to break the deadlock in the 53
rd minute when Haley Glassman netted her second of the year.

A pair of goals just 1:42 apart sealed the deal as the Golden Flyers improved to 3-0 in the Conference. Sydney Moss and Caleigh Cahoon each scored for Naz.

Sophomore
Courtney Connolly (Warwick, NY/Warwick Valley) finished with 14 saves in the losing effort, marking the second most saves in a single outing in her career. Annika Monfort meanwhile turned aside all three shots she faced.

The Pioneers (6-4, 2-1 Empire 8) look to bounce back Wednesday as they host St. John Fisher College. Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m. Â
