UTICA, NY- In the first game action in 364 days, the Utica College women's lacrosse team fell to visiting Rochester Institute of Technology 17-9 in non-conference action Wednesday afternoon.    Junior Lexi Scaccia (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) led the Pioneers with four points on the day.

Senior Stephanie Husnay (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) opened the scoring 3:54 into the first half as she capitalized on a free position to give the Pioneers the early lead.   The Tigers responded with three goals in 38 seconds all off the stick of Alanna Fallone to go up 3-1.

RIT led by as many as four goals in the first half but Utica kept within striking distance going into halftime trailing 7-4. The Tigers turned up the pressure in the second half outscoring UC 10-5 over the final 30 minutes.

Scaccia had a team-high three goals and added one assist to pace the Pioneers.  Husnay finished with two goals and also chipped in with one assist while sophomore Samantha DeCondo (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) had two goals of her own.
