ROCHESTER, NY- The nationally-ranked No. 11 St. John Fisher women's lacrosse team earned the upper hand in the first meeting between the Cardinals and Utica College on Wednesday as the host team came away with a 20-4 win.

The Cardinals outscored Utica 11-2 in the first half and tacked on another nine points in the second to remain unbeaten on the season.

Stephanie Husnay (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) and junior
Lexi Scaccia (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) led Utica with one goal and one assist each while
Kristin Krieg (Schenectady, NY/Guilderland) and
Alyssa Pisano (Hopewell Junction, NY/Arlington) each had one goal.Â
Brittany Nowak (Eden, NY/Eden) led the Pioneers with two caused turnovers and two ground balls on the day.Â

Claire Frier (Lafayette, NY/Lafayette) totaled eight saves, while Claudia Mocciaro and Lilly Goodsell combined for four saves for Fisher.

The Pioneers return to action Monday as they host Castleton university. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
