With the win, the Pioneers pick up their fourth straight win and improve to 10-2 on the year. UC will have a quick turnaround as it returns home Monday to face Worcester State. Game time is 3 p.m.
Oswego struck first as Mack Hull put in an unassisted tally at 5:43 of the first for her fourth of the year. The Pioneers responded with just 27 seconds remaining in the opening period as
Erica Sloan (Potsdam, NY/St. Lawrence Steel) netted her 10
th of the season off an assist by Whitney. Sloan centered a feed out in front to Whitney, whose shot was blocked but the rebound went right to the stick of Sloan who wrapped it around the net for the equalizer.
The Pioneers went ahead at the midway point of the second period thanks to a
Georgiana Santullo (Woburn, MA/Boston Shamrocks/Woburn High School) who recorded her team-leading 14

Molly Pedone (Trinity, FL/Robert Morris) and fired a bad angle shot that somehow snuck its way in to put Utica on top 2-1.
Oswego struck back at 12:01 of the final frame as Kyleigh Grugin put in a powerplay tally off assists from Amanda Zenstein and Sophia Kyrkostas for her fifth on the year. Whitney sealed the deal thanks to a lucky bounce at the Utica blueline that sent her in on a two-on-one. Whitney fired a shot that went under the blocker of Laker goalie Bryn White to put the Pioneers back on top.
Sophomore
