ASTON, PA- The Utica University men's lacrosse team fell to host Neumann University 12-4 in non-conference action Wednesday evening.
 
The Knights outscored Utica 8-0 in the first half and added three more goals before the Pioneers were able to get one in.  Caiden Frey (Accord, NY/Roundout Valley), Connor Costanza (Deer Park, NY/Deer Park ), Sam Serrano (Stone Ridge, NY/Roundout Valley), and John Spoto (Pittsford, NY/Pittsford Mendon) each had a goal for Utica.  James Daniele (Pleasantville, NY/Pleasantville) had a team-leading two assists, while Serrano and John Avery (Pittsford, NY/Pittsford-Mendon) each picked up one helper.
 
Jon Goodspeed (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Forks) had 13 saves in the loss, marking his third game this season with at least 13 saves.  His counterpart, Jake Marchiafava also finished with 13 saves. 
 
Utica (2-2) looks to bounce back Saturday as it travels to Castleton University.  Game time is 1 p.m.
