UTICA, NY- The nationally ranked No. 5 St. John Fisher men's lacrosse team proved to be too much as it downed Utica 29-3 in Empire 8 Conference action Saturday afternoon to hand the Pioneers their first conference loss of the season.

Fisher had 18 different players find the back of the net, led by Nicholas Miller, who finished with a team-high five goals to go along with his two assists.Â

John Spoto (Pittsford, NY/Pittsford Mendon),
John Avery (Pittsford, NY/Pittsford-Mendon), and
Jonathan Chilinski (Red Hook, NY/Red Hook) each scored for Utica, while
Kevin Parisi (Glenwood, NJ/Vernon Township) and
James Daniele (Pleasantville, NY/Pleasantville) chipped in with one assist apiece.Â
Jon Goodspeed (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Forks),
Patrick Oswald (Deer Park, NY/Deer Park ), and
Owen Mix (Henrietta, NY/Rush Henrietta) combined for 17 saves for the Pioneers.
