UTICA, NY - The Utica University women's wrestling team heads south to Lynchburg, VA for the Liberty University Duals on Saturday, November 18. Match time is set to begin at 11 am.
Last Time Out: The team competed at East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania. No scores were kept at the meet.
Sara Sylvester (Queensbury, NY/Queensbury) and
Gillian Mills (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties) competed for the Pioneers. Sylvester fell in her first bout in the 116lb weight class to Kat Pendergrass from Gannon University. Later on, she dropped her second match against Britain Chew from Elmira College. At 155lb Mills received a bye and then went on to fall to Tayla Tildsley from Sacred Heart University. In her last match, she fell to Jenna Blinkiewicz from Lincoln Memorial University.
Quad Schedule: Saturday's slate of competition includes Brewton Parker College at noon, Liberty University at 1:15 p.m. and Emory & Henry College at 2:30 p.m.

Gillian Mills (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties) at 143lbs is hoping to get the program's first win after a very promising performance at the East Stroudsburg Open on November 5. Despite losing the match, Mills scored the opening takedown against the eventual Runner-Up of the tournament.
The Field: The Brewton Parker College Barons travel to Lynchburg, VA, from Mt. Vernon, GA. Brewton Parker has competed in two meets this season against the University of Mount Olive, NC in the UMO Tojan Open and at Life University in Marrietta, GA for the Eagle Madness Open. Brewton Parker then competed in the Life University duals in Marrietta, GA where they placed seventh out of 19 teams. Liberty University is the host school in the quad meet and has competed in one meet this season at the Emory & Henry Tri-Meet, where they fell 33-14. Emory & Henry College travels from Emory, VA where they have competed in four outings against Liberty College, Southern Virginia, Bluefield State and at the Eagle Madness tournament at Life University.
Up Next: The team travels to Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania for the Novice Women's Wrestling Tournament on Sunday, December 3. The meet will begin at 10 a.m.
