Women's Golf Places First, Men Place Second Against Nazareth

NEW HARTFORD, NY - The Utica University men's and women's golf teams wrapped up play against Nazareth University at the Yahnundasis on Thursday night. The women's team placed first with a score of 392 while the men placed second scoring 339.
 
Carly Stefanini (Framingham, MA/Brooks School) continued playing well and led the Pioneers with a score of 87 which was second overall. Riley Morris (Buffalo, NY/Lancaster) shot 94, while Paige Graves (Syracuse, NY/Fayetteville-Manlius) (98), and Angela Hawthorne (Santa Clara, CA/Meijer) (113) rounded out play for the Pioneers. 
 
Nate McDonald led the way for the men with a score of 82 while Adam Woodmansee (84) and Phoenix Weydig (85) followed suit. Joey Bagnato shot an 88 and Jack Kendall rounded out the scorecard for Utica with a 90.
 
The women will head to Westfield, MA for the Northeast Women's Golf Conference Championship beginning on Saturday, September 30 at 11 a.m. and continuing on Sunday, October 1 at 9 a.m. The men will head to face Oswego State on Saturday, September 30 at 11 a.m. and continuing on Sunday, October 1 at 10:30 a.m.
